[JttQ] Questmas Special Sneakpeek!
Added 2025-11-18 22:52:16 +0000 UTCSince we're on a mid-season break, you've probably noticed the lack of, well, anything JTTQ from us. Sorry about that! We're in the throws of prepping for the next steps of fulfilling the Kickstarter (we're so happy it's such a big task, everyone who supported the Kickstarter in any little way from donating simply to watching our promos is beyond outstanding!). That includes Visdev for the next scenes, hiring more talent and preparing to fulfill the Rivals Miniseries! Amidst all of this, however, we wanted to make something special for everyone this holiday season.
This is the first half of our Holiday Special Journey to the Questmas! These are, of course, just the boards I'm working with (with all the mistakes and revisions I'm too lazy to make). The short will not being using expensive frame-by-frame animation like the Pilot is planned to, but will instead make use of the series' usual PUPPET RIG ANIMATION that the show usually has! So yours truly (your table artist, me) will be the sole animator of this one, just like the rest of the series thus far.
Hey, can we give a special round of applause for the incredible musical talent of Lukas Vanderlip? Not only is he the genius behind the Little Mr. Bug instrumentation and melody, that fun snippet of the title drop song is his doing! He's an incredible talent whose Bandcamp you should check out right now!
This has been a really fun project so far while we sort out all the paperwork and boring behind-the-scenes stuff we have to do to get ready for the next season, the pilot and the miniseries. It's going to be a really weird and busy year, and we're so thankful and excited for it! This Holiday short is a bit of an experiment of ours, so please let us know how you feel about the aspect ratio change.
And, of course, what's your silliest or favourite-est holiday tradition for whatever you celebrate?

I think this is the most natural progression for jttq to take

2025-11-21 11:22:38 +0000 UTCAlways love looking at cartoon variants of "Christmas" Because I don't understand or care about actual Christmas. But the made up fantasy holidays always have better arguments, even if it's based on the one real one I don't care about. Anyway happy hollidays!

2025-11-19 05:46:10 +0000 UTCI love the peek behind the curtains. I dont think moat people truely understand the process behind even the smallest amount of animation and content creation. Also, probably the silliest xmas tradition we have is Light Runs. We get Timmies peppermint hot chocolates and drive around town looking for the craziest light displays. Not really silly but woohoo?
