the FINAL of the special Backstory Bonus series, Before the Quest! OF COURSE it's Jackson. Who else could it possibly be?
Jackson's definitely has the most story events put in, so I had a lot of unique shots to make! it was a fun challenge to montage through his life, connecting the pieces in a way we hope best show off his journey from his initial fall (the one out of his hands) to the ones that were absolutely his fault. Seeing the first of many betrayals between him and Primrose was really fun to make, too!
Our complicated lil guy sure has a history, huh? Long way to go before he's sorted out all that's gone wrong and how to fix it or move on.

I think we're going to be taking a break to figure out how we want to proceed with Season 4 in the wake of the Kickstarter. Don't quote me on that, plans could change! In the meantime, I'm hoping to get some fun artwork done for y'all so you still have some nice perks to chew on here.

That's not Jackson's father, this seems to be a somewhat common point of confusion and we're not sure why. And yes Jackson did rob other people, it's implied by his first long conversation with Primrose that it went on for a while before he was caught.

If so, why is there a picture of him hanging above the drawer Jackson is emptying? Jackson robbed Primrose's family, so that doesn't make sense to me. Also, Pepper sings in Little Mr. Bug that Jackson fell out of a window with a bag full of gold. But apparently Jackson was caught before he could get away with the bag and lost his eye in the process. BUT he must have managed to steal more than just the necklace, partly because of the song, and partly because he later talks to Primrose in the restaurant about how he stole so many things. And who is "Jackson's father" talking to at the beginning? Primrose's mother?
