I wrote about I Was A Teenage Exocolonist.
Actually, I wrote about being abused. It was hard to do--I don't talk about the abuse publicly except for vague references like this. Rather than discuss the details, I think it's best if I help you identify the patterns, the ways that people try to hijack good things for bad ends, so that you're safe.
It ended up being one of my most successful pieces ever.
I am not doing too well--on Wednesday, the 18th, my grandma passed away. My health has been in decline without adequate treatment. But I am alive. I have written a piece, and I'll continue to do so. I'm now recording audio (yes, I'm actually recording it) for the first video.
It's so hard to do all of this, but I like doing it and it helps me pay for what medical care I can.

2025-01-02 03:15:34 +0000 UTCMy condolences. Most of my elder relatives passed while I was still a child, before I really understood the significance of the loss. When my paternal grandmother passed it hurt worse than the loss of either of my parents, she was the last person who I know for certain loved me unconditionally. I hope that you have people around who loved her, people you can mourn with.
