Finally, a supporter hangout!

Okay, wow, bit of a hiatus here - I had so much to figure out over winter! Thankfully, me and the channel are in a better spot to move forward now, so let's talk about that and answer your questions while we're at it.

You can ask questions in the comments below and I'll go through them during the stream - or simply ask live in chat.

Check the embedded YouTube stream above for the exact time this Sunday in your timezone - see you then!

What do you think of the Prusa XL's multi-material capabilities? Is it a gimmick mechanically or is it really designed well enough to complete a multi-material 30 hour print? Or is it just too early to tell?

Do you have any favorites of technologies on the rise you would see implemented wider, like the trend of more and more monochrome resin printer screens, sheet metal print beds and in the future perhaps the split heat bed of the Prusa XL?

Mikkel Skipper

Have you given up on deltas completely, since the Cerberus reborn is no longer in your workshop? Also any interest in doing another community build like what you did with the hang printer?

Jonathan Charnas

Do you get requests from companies who want to integrate 3d printing in their business model? If so, how do you handle that and do you refer them elsewhere?

Jonathan Charnas

For the Form3 did they provide you any of their draft resin which they claim prints up to 4x faster? Did you try the new Light-Touch supports which was another big claim for the Form3? Apologies if I missed references to these.

BCN3D VLM (https://vlm.bcn3d.com/blog/bcn3d-unveils-viscous-lithography-manufacturing-vlm/) looks interesting and novel, no products seem to be announced yet, any early thoughts?

Why wouldn't retraction length be related to travel distance? In PrusaSlicer you just get a threshold below which there are no retractions and everything above it gets the same value. Couldn't there be a benefit in relating travel distance to retraction?

Sometimes, because of electrostatic, when I touch my printer, the LCD2004 goes bananas and the screens gets scrambled. I thought I could solve this with grounding. So two questions: a) does grounding solve that? B) how do I get an anodized aluminum extrusion to conduct energy so that I don't have to run a wire all the way to the the LCD2004?

Ulderico Cirello

My question is, do you ever take a day off ? My problem is I never know when to stop and it gets to a point where I burn out and have to force a break!
