Creative Commons

As a believer in free/libre content, I've been uploading everything under a Creative Commons license for the last year or so, thinking it would foster a healthy community that can build on one another's work. And I didn't limit this to just publishing 3D designs (which I honestly don't care too much about),  but also released image, scripts and my video themselves under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-alike license that would allow everyone to use content as they saw fit.

Unfortunately, only very little sharing happened. What I am seeing instead are 1 to 1 reuploads of my videos on YouTube, supposedly by bots, that take the video (in 720p), strip all links from the description and upload it as their own. Since I started noticing this, I've added my YouTube link to the end screen of all new videos, but I'm now having to file takedown notices on a daily basis. Some of the earlier reuploads actually gathered more views than the original video. This isn't just an issue from a business side of things (with video content being my only source of income), but is also annoying to deal with and drags me down a bit every time it comes up. 

There is also a Spanish guy selling my Plumbus design on Etsy with zero attribution given. 

This is not what I intended. 

So I'm considering removing the CC-BY-SA license from my content, Not because I want to keep everything to myself, but because it weakens my position against the CC trolls. Knowing that "publish everything under CC" was the $1000 goal here on Patreon, I wanted to you all first what your position is on the topic.

Again, if I removed the explicit CC license, it wouldn't change my stance of legitimate content reuse. Everyone who asked would still be allowed to use, modify, "perform" my work. Educational use would still be 100% permitted. I just want to put an end to the drag that is seeing my work being ripped off with zero benefit for the community.
