On update on what's to come

Hi everyone!

A lot has happened in the last month, and we continue to work hard on getting another update out for the game. Meanwhile, I'd like to let people in on what's been going on.

A twitch channel has been setup, where I will be streaming the game's development in the future. I hope this will be a great place to hang out and chat with the community, and I expect to do my first stream shortly after the next update has been released. I don't have a mic, but I will write in chat and when I do so a text bubble will appear on the stream, exactly as you see on the image. If the stream gains popularity I might add other such niceties.

More developers have joined the team after I lifted the restrictions on programming contributions. It has required a lot of my time to set this up, but I am sure it will go a long way towards speeding up the game's development. Many things have already been developed by the community either in part of completely, which I look forward to share with everyone!

Some of the things that are ready for the next update are:

Inline formatting of text

I am currently working on making equipment no longer take up inventory space. This turned out to be a huge undertaking, as it involves some of the worst code I've written for the game. But it won't be for long! It has been the elephant graveyard to my developers' Simba, and I'm happy to have that fixed.

Someone: "I was thinking about working on the inventory system"

Me: "You must never go there, Simba!"

The update is planned to launch with extensive improvements to the item system as a whole, making it much more intuitive to manage and use items, and the purpose of this update has been to tie up loose ends that will allow myself more time to expand the game with new advanced features and content.
