Ashina continues to be the best. She really has thrown in completely with Wenyuan and her small family. I'm glad her fiery personality and drive still shines through in the writing. Interested to see how this next part plays out. Wenyuan has to give face to Empress An but its pretty clear that the Empress doesnt actually believe shes above Wenyuan in the pecking order. She seems closer to deathly afraid of him if anything. Also interesting to see xianchun and yu bianfu getting more involved. It seems like this battle between the consorts could possibly end up being the trigger for a war between China and the Khanganate. "We must save our princess from the murderous chinese" seems as good a Casus Belli as any ruler could ask for.
