Everything should be on time, but if I happen to be traveling or staying in an area without signal, the updates might be posted a day or two later than on RR. Unfortunately, February was too busy for me to build up enough of a backlog that I can just schedule posts well in advance to ensure a consistent posting time, but I will keep you guys updated in advance on any scheduling issues to the best of my ability. Sima Qi is quite a fun character to write. His character was partially inspired by a conversation between my mother and uncle that I overheard when I was a child. It went something like this: Mother: [Male coworker] has such innocent eyes, just like a little baby's! Uncle: Yeah right. Innocent? All men are animals! I would know. Mother: Fine then, like a baby animal's. Sima Qi is someone who is capable of acting out great cruelty in utter innocence. He acts in this entirely self-centered manner where the consequences and impacts are known to him but ultimately have no real meaning. He's an affection-starved being who wants to repay any shred of care that he receives, but it's almost like a magpie that keeps bringing bottle caps to a house that gives it food. It's not based in morality but his own personal like of the party that helped him. But as for the others that his actions impact? He walks past them like he's walking past an anthill being flooded with water, not caring if they drown.

2025-02-28 20:01:16 +0000 UTCSima Qi really creeps me out, he definitely has some mental condition. I really hope this fiasco can resolve in a good way. I've gotten attached to Heli, Geleng and Dulan, that I hope they could make a good life for themselves.
