Book 2 Chapter 99-The Ephemeral and the Everlasting

I'll be taking a brief break before coming back with Book 3, but I'll probably release some extras and chapter notes in the meantime. Hope you all enjoyed the last two chapters of Book 2!

Also, amazing chapter, I'd expected him to die right after killing the Emperor, but in hindsight it makes more sense for his character to die after he's certain the country can move forward without him. A man of duty to the end, despite how much his duty broke him. RIP Wei Guang. Really looking forward to book 3!

In consideration of the 3rd book, I'd like to make a suggestion: Give us readers an overview of the existing factions and powerful individuals that comprise the imperial court. After two books, we barely know anybody that's still alive or in power. We don't even know anyone relevant who was supposedly a part of the neutral faction. For all the power Kayla actually has, she's almost completely on her own, with barely any allies in the court, atleast not known by name and position.
