Not really. Most emperors just died and the crown prince took over. There isn't much historical precedence for what we're speculating on, mostly just rumors and maybes - like the 2nd emperor of the Sui Dynasty.

2024-07-21 06:24:14 +0000 UTCI kinda assumed it would come to this at some point. Assassinating the emperor after he goes off the deep end. Kinda horrible that that will be the first act of the new reign...but I guess that's how most reigns tend to begin.
