Book 2 Chapter 90-Mirror Image

@Alex Iskandar, Yes, partial rejuvenation is possible. Like Insomnia said, a complete rejuvenation isn't really feasible, but bouncing back from the brink (or even near-complete destruction) isn't impossible. In previous chapters I had Yunqi bring up the story of 光武中兴/Mid-dynasty rejuvenation by Emperor Guangwu of Han (when he was telling Kuang's son the story), to kind of draw a parallel between the two. Emperor Guangwu's situation was embroiled in much more warfare and conflict, but he too was a steady-tempered man with a merciful nature. Emperor Guangwu also had a very charismatic older brother that everyone thought would become the Emperor but then was abruptly killed.

Both the Han and Tang Dynasty were close to finished, only to recover. In both cases they were weakened though, so a complete "rejuvenation" hasn't happened in chinese history. The only exception may be the Ming, but they faced their internal problems so early, that it shouldn't count.
