@Alex Iskandar, Yes, partial rejuvenation is possible. Like Insomnia said, a complete rejuvenation isn't really feasible, but bouncing back from the brink (or even near-complete destruction) isn't impossible. In previous chapters I had Yunqi bring up the story of 光武中兴/Mid-dynasty rejuvenation by Emperor Guangwu of Han (when he was telling Kuang's son the story), to kind of draw a parallel between the two. Emperor Guangwu's situation was embroiled in much more warfare and conflict, but he too was a steady-tempered man with a merciful nature. Emperor Guangwu also had a very charismatic older brother that everyone thought would become the Emperor but then was abruptly killed.

2024-06-22 00:52:54 +0000 UTCBoth the Han and Tang Dynasty were close to finished, only to recover. In both cases they were weakened though, so a complete "rejuvenation" hasn't happened in chinese history. The only exception may be the Ming, but they faced their internal problems so early, that it shouldn't count.
