Zhang Dingyong is the Right Secretariat of Justice and a member of Kuang's faction, I think I forgot to add him to the Character Index, I'll do that shortly. He is legally a second-class citizen by Ancient Chinese law, as his father is a criminal and his mother is a prostitute, but he was adopted by a childless family who wanted a talented son. Qu Boyong/Xiang Daozong is going to be making a move that could potentially piss off the Seventh Prince, so he wants to make sure Kayla can't toss him aside afterwards by asking her to do something similar.
