92-Original Timeline
Added 2022-12-03 21:47:01 +0000 UTCA lot of this was inspired in reaction to tropes I often see in many Chinese historical-political-power-fantasies set in Ancient China, where the scorned son rises up to the seat of Emperor and immediately starts destroying everyone who ever wronged him, gains a giant harem, completely ends corruption, enacts a bunch of reforms with extreme ease, enjoys military success despite having had no prior experience, and so on so forth.
Also, there are the often-seen tropes of randomly getting transmigrated into a novel after you fall asleep reading it, as well as gaining an omnipresent knowledge of the future and maximizing that to one's own benefit. While that is fun to read, I also wanted to re-examine these tropes in this story by taking a look at how else things can go.
As a result of my brain going haywire over all this, the cultural notes for this chapter are [a little] long, but I've actually cut it down by a lot already. It used to be over three thousand words, but I thought that was way too much.
