Upcoming Arcs
Added 2022-06-23 01:38:36 +0000 UTCWithout spoiling too much, I've been very busy working on extensive outlines and drafts of the upcoming arcs. These are arcs I'm very excited for, and I'm finally going to be getting around to plotlines I've been hinting at since the earliest chapters.
In the upcoming arc immediately after this one, we're going to see:
-A pregnant woman with a huge machete
-The Fifth Prince Yunqi's backyard catches fire (a colloquialism meaning that someone's facing issues within their family)
-Minister Liang's backyard also catches fire, mostly because of Kayla
In the arc after next, we'll be digging into:
-The late Imperial Princess' magic research and why Kayla transmigrated
-The nullification magic talisman the Empress Dowager gave Kayla back in Chapter 35
-We find out just how far Xianchun is willing to go for revenge.
The arc that comes after that one is difficult to discuss anything about without giving away major spoilers, but here are a few things to look forward to:
-The original plot has changed to the point where Kayla's knowledge of the novel is rendered mostly useless
-Kayla picks up the good old American tradition of political campaigning
-There's multiple political marriage arrangements, domestically and internationally

The pregnant woman is not the general, but she has a bigger machete than the general does! I'd rather not spoil too much, since at this point in time pretty much everything is a plot point, but yes they definitely need a fire brigade! Everyone's backyards are catching fire.
