I, for one of many, deeply appreciate your obstinancy. We need to see history in its minutia as we watch it unfold (again) before our eyes.

On looking into this myself, I see that Butler was posted to Manila Bay on May 23, 1899 but was not involved in the fighting initially. He wrote to his Mum in August asking her to ask his Dad to use his influence to get him posted to the front. He was 18. Jonathan M Katz, in his book Gangsters of Capitalism writes: "Butler's desire to prove his manhood burned so hot that it blinded him to the moment when a war he'd joined to free people from imperialism became a war to subdue a colony". The teenage Butler led the march on the village of Noveletta in October - right into an ambush. Sorry to digress.

I'd like to know how much interaction Smedley Butler had with these characters up to and including the clearing of the Bonus Camp. Butler showed himself to be anti-fascist when exposing the Business Plot.

I like the longer format, and I sometimes wait to watch the full episode rather than watch it in smaller batches. It’s a personal preference. I’m really enjoying the series, as I really didn’t know much about some of these people, such as Willoughby until I started watching the series.

Typo, thanks I’ll fix it for the YouTube release 🫡

You have the wrong dates for Grant’s presidency. The correct dates were from 1869 to 1877.

Absolutely some of your finest work…. You have created a great portfolio of work… I hope you feel inspired to keep it coming for the rest of us to enjoy !!! Very unique style of investigative journalism !!! We’ve noticed your work is not regurgitated conjecture or conclusions derived from others. !!!
