Stormcast Challenge - Blue Reflective NMM pt.3
Added 2024-11-20 16:47:11 +0000 UTCWe are back with the third installment of the Stormcast Challenge and painting the Blue Reflective NMM.
Building on the first 2 videos, we take an interesting turn by adding a couple of new coloured reflections to capture further how this finish picks up on other environmental hues around our subject. The general hues of the blue atmosphere are our main reflection, joined with shades of green coming from the left and some warmer darker brown hues from below and to the right. All interact together with a new sequence of Up Two - Back One. This is done to present an alternate route to the final results and to add new tools to your techniques. Whether you prefer this or a classic linear layering approach better or worse, it's good practice as painters to be familiar with all the approaches, and to get to feel the strengths and weaknesses of both methods.
