Tutorial: Self-hosting Foundry VTT on Digital Ocean

Hi everyone!

I am proud to announce the start of the new video tutorial series on how to self-host Foundry on the cloud, more specifically on Digital Ocean. After evaluating the best tools to install and run Foundry VTT on a Linux virtual machine in the Cloud I started recording the 5-part serious that currently spans around 200 minutes total.

I tried to be rather verbose in the explanations behind the used technology because in my opinion understanding what you are following is the key to find solutions to any issues that might occur down the road.

Please find the first part of the tutorial on Youtube: https://youtu.be/OYXJk9LUs9M

Four parts are already recorded and uploaded to Youtube, getting released over the course of the next week (as I will need to confirm and possibly re-record/correct one smaller thing in part 4). The grand finale will bring a nice surprise along-side talking about backup and restore and general management of your server.

Stay lovely and feel free to share those video links with the community,

Sebastian

Hey is ther an update I am missing? Because I am unfortunately unable to use vtta.io on Foundry (using Forge) on the FVTT latest 8.9 update.
