Hibu Khan is complete and he's ready for his showcase! What a fantastic miniature and it's definitely been a treat to paint him. As promised, next week there will be back 2 back tutorials of both parts on painting him that have lessons that aren't just specific to him. Emphasis on illustrating shoulder pad trim, working with angles to help you get the most pop and volume with one of the biggest features of Space Marine power armour. Airbrushing white and the painting process to help remove the stress from it. How to paint the yellow cape by brush and employ a blocking, layering, bridging and final blending techniques which differ from a straight layering approach. As well as final touches I employ to this model to give that extra polish to really call it done before it hits the tabletop!
Thanks again for your patience and I'm really looking forward to sharing this video series with you all. Coming up next will be a dive into the Mortal Realms with the new AoS box. Sadly due to a shipping error, I got my copy from Games Workshop VERY late, but that doesn't mean I won't be painting any of these fantastic kits. As I go through the kits to see what tickles my fancy, I've also opened up to suggestions from all of you on what you're interested in seeing from the new set? Please mention them in the comments below on what models you would like to see, along with any specific topics to cover and why?
Thats all for now and I hope you have a great rest of your weekend! See you guys shortly next week and happy painting :)
