Hi Tom. I'm having a real hard time finding the o-rings. The kit you mention sells for over $40. A lot of cash for a small project. How precise do the o-rings need to be? For example, can the 4x2 be replaced with a 4x1? How about imperial measurements?

Hello Jack, Yes I have considered making a multi-cylinder engine, however, I wanted to concentrate on the single cylinder engine until I found a decent valve system. Now that I think I've found a reliable solution, I might explore adding more cylinders, especially as I want to experiment with air powered cars, where weight isn't so much of an issue ;)

Hello Tom, have you ever considered making a multi-cylinder engine in order to increase torque?

The main reason is for the low rotational resistance and also they weigh less than full metal bearings. Smaller metal bearings (of the same weight) are usually filled with grease to withstand high loads, however, this adds too much resistance for this use.
