Great first chapter! Can't wait to hear more. I do have a random question - is it spelled Reed or Reid? I ask because I have synesthesia, and letters have colours to me. Those two spellings 'look' different in my mind because of it.

Immediately immersive, and I felt like I could picture the scenes as well as the characters in my mind easily, which is probably one of the hardest things to do effectively in this format. I rarely listen to audio books or narrative audios in general for this reason, but I guess I should've expected that you'd add writing long-form stories for an audio format to your nearly endless list of talents. Of course, the voice acting itself was excellent, which isn't surprising but still strikes me every time. In particular, I think it's challenging to actually find a balance between a robotic monotone and over-the-top acting specifically during the narration portions of the story so that the listener is engaged and gets the emotional context, but you achieve that effortlessly. Of course, your talent in voicing the actual characters is, as usual, top-tier. My only constructive feedback, if open to it ofc, would be to maybe consider increasing the variability between the narration and character voices to make them a little more distinct as I occasionally realized slightly late when there was a shift between the narration and the dialogue, though could just be a me problem! Overall, truly amazing work on par with most of the similar "professional" literature I've consumed, and I'm excited to continue with the story's future chapters! Apologies for the long-winded message.
