How to install & play:
Download the .zip folder, unzip and place into your mods folder.
Make sure to have the MAIN_Hunting Foraging Mod .package file
Inside are sub folders containing 'pick and choose' add ons for each area. Simply delete any you do not want to have.

All the interactions are found by clicking on the 'Sign Post'.

I have created a guide handbook to showcase what you can do with this mod and to help visualise better what your sims can do - it's a bit messy but the general information is there. If there is anything you would find useful to be put here please let me know.

Additional Optional Mods:
Fires require wood - overrides in game campfires/bonfires/fireplaces to need foraged wood to light.
Weeding harvests dandelions & nettles - overrides in game 'weeding' of plants so that your sims can also harvest some extra ingredients.
Cut and Wrap Fish - overrides fish so they can be cut into multiple 'wrapped fish' ingredient depending on the size of the fish.

Small update for those who don't have the Seasons EP - Your sims should now again bring home animals after hunting and you should notice more variety of foraged ingredients after sending sims foraging.
Please remove and redownload the Forest_Hunting & Forest_Foraging packages (I have included them as individual downloads for convenience 😊

Hello! i just downloaded the Hunting and Foraging mod. But I'm having issues with the cut meet part. It doesn't shows me the option. I mean i can hunt it but i cant cut it . I delete it and installed again and even i take out all my other mods but i still have the same problem. Does anyone knows how to fix it?

It's mainly to remove the seasons requirement that was effecting players who didn't have seasons. You shouldn't notice any difference with you having the pack anyway. ☺️

2025-09-08 17:05:02 +0000 UTCHi! So at the moment, if you leave the bait you want in your sims inventory it will help increase the chances of your sim bringing home that animal (I may change this in the future)

Out of curiosity, would you happen to know why the wood you collect doesn't seem to be able to go into the wood pile storage object by Brazen Lotus? Pretty much anything else is able to except the wood!

It'd be neat to see a wood rack/bin (or something like that) to put the wood in, so we don't have to keep it in the personal inventory or on the floor. Just a thought, and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

I have noticed when I send them hunting, mining, or foraging when they come back their weight has dropped down as low as the slider can go. I fix it in CAS, and at first I thought it was because my sims had high metabolisms, but it happened to my child sims too. Weight slider dropped all the way down immediately after foraging.
