Weekly Thing #4 - The Darkest of Dungeons

Whether I had my son in my lap or he was sleeping next to me, I played Darkest Dungeon for almost 10 hours a day every day this week. Steam says I've put 96 hours into the game and I only played it for about 2 hours before it came out of early access. I have a bad habit of leaving games running when I go AFK for a while so I'd say the number is closer to 80 hours.

So there won't be a video this week. I finished the game yesterday so the video should be ready by Tuesday at the earliest. It was probably stupid of me to commit so much time to playing but with Dragon's Dogma and Rise of the Tomb Raider out, I wanted to get it done quickly. I thought it was a 20 hour game. I was very wrong about that.

The idea of playing through another giant game is very unappealing to me right now so I'm thinking about doing Tomb Raider next as a break. What little I've played of Dogma already seemed good on the gameplay side but really wonky on the story. If anyone reads this and wants a preview of my thoughts on Darkest Dungeon, it's one of the worst gaming experiences I have ever had.
