The Hunter's Journey - Patreon Revamp

Hello everyone! If you have not been keeping up with what's been going on in the discord, then;

2: Then I am finally taking the plunge on a project I have wanted to do for years. "The Hunter's Journey". In short, this project will be a monthly art/writing adventure, with Cera trekking around the world of monster hunter, logging her "encounters" with the beasts she is sent to handle.

This project will be supported by you and the wonderful artist(s) I have the pleasure of knowing. For your support you will get early access to all posts, voting power and suggestion power on what gets chosen, high resolution images (as well as FULL images of the pieces that go into the cropped book). You will also be able to support at higher tiers to get little cameos, as well as having your own OC's entered into the log.

This project will start funded by myself as a passion project, presented here for you all. Once we reach a total of around $200/month, it will become fully patreon supported, with guaranteed monthly posts, or more if we get increasing support.

I plan to partner with one artist for the monthly posts, and would like to use guest artists for additional posts if we manage to secure that.

What this means for existing and new supporters is simple. You will get all the same content here that you have always had, early access va, the ability to give suggestions, feedback, full quality animations, and more. You will also gain access (at any paid tier above tip jar) to the full Hunter's Journey community. This includes monthly polls, wips, early access to completed entries, and more. In short, twice as much for the same price.

This post is coming before the official full public announcement of the project. The discord has known about it. You know about it. But the wider world does not. This is your chance to get on the ground floor and shape this journey from the very beginning. The first important hurdle will be choosing which artist to go with. I have two in mind, both of whom are producing their concept of what an entry will look like. When they do, you and the discord alike will choose who we go with going forward.

If that is not your kind of thing, do not fret. All hunter's journey posts will be titled as such, so you can simply ignore it.

A final note I want to give is for the ethicality of the project. I personally have never been a fan of using a patreon to fund artwork of ones own character, but I believe I have justified the way that I have done this.

$200 of the money each month goes directly to the artist, for creation of the project. No ifs, no buts, no anything. I see none of that. Above $200, money will be split between me and the artist, for my part, this money is used as "payment" for the work I myself am putting in, a mixture of composition, ideas, community management, as well as for all the writing going into the guide (which will be done by me). I believe this to be fair, but am more than open to feedback on how I can be more ethical with this project.
