I've been hearing rumblings of AI use at my workplace (a gaming company), but nothing yet about replacing jobs/workflows with it. However, they did just fire a number of people to cut costs... they might realize they trimmed too much, and try to replace them post mortem with some AI system.

2023-08-01 06:49:37 +0000 UTCOne other thing to consider is the timing of the emergence of these technologies vis-a-vis the American political environment. Solving questions of regulation, UBI / social safety nets, etc. are basically impossible.
