Hrm, speaking of our Canadian can opener, where is the most effective placement of the claws in relation to the arm? We've seen Wolverine with multiple claw placements, some have them coming out over the back of bis hands, some between the knuckles, I think both placements have their own super massive downsides; Over the back of the hands can lead to you slicing open your hands if your hand becomes presses against the blades... Though as the blades would need to come out past the wrist, it is likely that your wrist would be blocked from moving at the joint I guess... Between the knuckles seems like it has even bigger problems. Lots of tendons and fleshy bits would have to simply not be there for the blade to pass through that section of the hand, and again you are left with your wrist being locked in place. Plus when you punch something you would run a high risk of your hand simply splitting along the main axis of the bones as when pressure is applied to the fingers of a punchy fist, things would be compressed and the system would fail at it's weakest point... the meat bits.

Really fun episode, Kyle. Are you going to bring back any sort of footnotes analog? I always really enjoyed the follow up shows. With that in mind, I have questions! You mentioned how boxing would be different. I think it's an interesting thought experiment to consider how human behavior would have evolved differently if we had evolved w/ metal skeletons. I would think it would be hard for any fight between metallic humans to not be lethal. Every punch to the head should have enough force behind it to be a concussion. Fleshy bits external to bones should be frequently cleaved from bone. We would probably evolve bone (metal) gauntlets to prevent repeated crushing of the flesh on our fists. If fights between humans were always lethal, would that make us more or less aggressive intra-species?
