One thing that I always wondered but never crunched the numbers. What tensile strength do you need for Kaiju or mechas. Godzilla just swinging his tail would put an enormous strain on tissue. Kinda like the reference to Godzilla's walking gait, the swing is probably not fast enough to be cinematic.
