love the HVS of course. on these podcasts where you're not constrained by video, you can really hear the rhythmic poet in you. mesh that with your timbre, humor, and analytic mind of basketball, it's a beautiful melange of art you're doing. of course i like it when you focus on the warriors--but on the hezi it was nice to be force fed some perspectives on the other teams. just so i could keep up--cause i hate watching most of the other teams on tv somehow. as for the kuminga debate, so many talented players in the past (wiggins) have been in crappy systems. i think it's always the goal to be with the best quality people you can find who have a mind to develop you and also find out what makes you special. it's not so easy to find that in life though. but at least the warriors seem to be overly patient (like with mccaw, evans, poole--and in hiring better development coaches). i understand another patron preferred less voicemails?--but i hope you at least keep 2 per ongoing episode. it's very nice to hear the voices of people who comment here! most of the time, the people sound so much cooler and younger than i expected. i'd love to hear the actual voices of some of the past trolls to see if they're the same via voice (and if they're actually real people)! lastly--i might suggest putting a cooler noise on the voicemail notifications. instead of the iphone blip, why not a ref whistle or something more basketball that means something to you (24 second clock? etc)

there's one guy who knows more about the injury assessment more than draymond--and i'd have to think it'd be bob myers. his actions speak louder than words in my mind. or put another way--if draymond was a big risk for being out for the playoffs, you can be sure they'd be a lot more active than they seem to be. also, they already went through a time where they had an abundance of centers on the roster--and i guess they're saying they're just not into that anymore. their focus on non-centers prob have to do with focus on swarming/switching defense and playing the other's centers off the court (whenever they can).

I remember listening to a podcast with Drew Hanlen (NBA trainer) who was talking about what he does when his players go through slumps. He said he will fly out to see them and not even get in the gym, but ask about what's been going on in their lives. His thinking is that if a shooter has been a good shooter for years, the chances of their slump being mechanical is very very low. For people saying it's his age, just nah. Shooting never leaves you and he is missing some very easy shots (for Steph standards). We forget these dudes have lives. Could be missing his son, could be Ayesha getting sick of him being out of all the time. Could be his parents. Could be getting Klay back and him taking some shine (doubtful). Could be the pressure. Who knows, but my guess is it's mental. Not worrying though; he's just lining himself up to go hero mode when it matters.

So I've just heard that he has hand issues. They word is that it's been several hand injuries in both hands since mid-December. Apparently, the warriors are trying to keep a lid on it and work through it. I do think it's starting to affect his mental though. That's my take. But they say it's his hands.

Love it, AA! Do you see any chance in hell of PHX working a deal with us for a mobile big, as they're loaded up at this position? Aside from this idea and Millsap/Beli move you mention here, do you see any others on your radar? I'm not up on the nuts/bolts of contracts like you and so many others likely are. As a working musician who's developed some bad mechanics habits over time that are tough to correct quickly, and a kid pitcher that had good mechanics coaching, I dug your take on Steph's shooting woes, even at his highest of levels. I still think it’s mental for Steph and you touched on it once with Ayesha stuff or maybe his parents because it has to be something behind the scenes we don’t know. Steph has always shot slightly different on most shots so i’m not sold on it being mechanics and it all started around the record, and when it comes to shooting at that level it’s mostly mental.
