Dame is one of the few stars I actually like, he's also Oakland native so

Iono if DLo is the next Harden, he lacks the sudden acceleration and foul baiting which are huge aspects of Harden's game. But he can play off ball and is probably a better passer based on the eye test.
WCS surprisingly ranks 3rd in defensive contributions according to 538's RAPTOR stats. I don't know if this is inflated from us not having another proper center but on paper, WCS always had good defensive metrics.

I had looked him up for a video not too long ago...Your right Dlo is the closest thing to a young Harden he could possibly get his hands on, if thats the model he is using. I think they need there pick to land top 10 too

Thats how he made his career as a player. So I could see why he believes in using the stars as decoys

Thats great idea! Trying if I can find time to do slip some in I will...Once the 9ers season is over that will buy me an extra day.

I think they want to continue to showcase Burks, while also developing the rookies. They know what they have in D'Lo ... with one exception: Defense. Maybe when Steph returns we'll see a greater focus from D'Lo on playing defense.
I still think the Timberwolves will continue to come calling with offers for D'Lo and will eventually (in the off-season) make us an offer we can't refuse. Probably as a part of a 3 or 4 way trade. The T-wolves GM used to work for the Rockets, and he knows a thing about building a team around a crafty ball-dominant shooting guard. They're looking to tear it all down and D'Lo + Towns is the core they're going to focus on. Wait them out long enough, and we'll get a really favorable deal.

i seem to remember kerr putting the 3 ball into the unexpected guy's hands even with steph and klay in the game - part of his plan to fool the defense. how many times did Dray or Iggy hit a clutch game winner when everyone was guarding steph or klay? same strategy here, imo.

I agree with what Kevin posted earlier. I really hope that they are just giving the other players chances to learn how to handle those situations. It is a tank year anyway so there's no true pressure to win. As you've mentioned, DLO is superb at closing games. Since we already know this, I'm sure the organization knows this, and DLO knows this. He doesn't need more practice closing games, so give the opportunity to the young ones. This is the only thing that makes sense to me with how its been playing out, so I hope that is true.
Also, I was fully expecting a worse game than this because the Hawks are tied for last with us sooooo.. I didn't have high hopes for this Portland game until the Hawks win a few. :D

Love having these tight games then dropping them. Burks takes the last shot when we want to lose Dlo does when we want to win. Haha.

Kerr is definitely testing what the rookies and the young guys can do. If we give the ball to DLO everytime we will never know if guys like Paschall and Poole are willing to pull the trigger in these situations. And is not like the goal is to win anyway.

Just puttin this out there...Alch if you ever decided to break down shitty rockets performances, or bad nights/ series from other teams, I would watch those videos on repeat.

Yeah I found myself wanting this one.. maybe to spoil Dames night 🤫... the 3 think is just human nature, you see it even in pick up games. If it’s point game everyone starts jacking.

I wanted to win this game SO bad 😂
The Blazers and Spurs are the only teams I despise. It was a great game tho.
On another note, I don't know if this has been a thing for the past few years, but it baffles me how teams just jack up 3's in the last 5 minutes when it's a 1 or 2 point game.

With the trade deadline coming up I'm curious if you want to move Burks and gr3 or if you would rather hold on to them for next season. Also think my theory from the Denver game holds true here, Kerr this testing our other young guys out in the clutch he knows D'lo knows what he's doing. We learned poole isn't afraid to pull the trigger in the clutch even if he didn't hit it

I don't understand why D-Lo isn't getting the ball in these situations... It has to be a tank move. It just has to. But on that same note if we're lowkey tanking why is Steph coming back to play 27 games??? If we win 15-20 out of the 27 this year was a waste

it's not fair to ask a rookie to make a game winner when he's been setting on the bench
