Welcome to the 5th topic submission post for the Patreon Exclusive series, TOPIC ZONE, where I give my thoughts on topics and games you'd like to hear me discuss in a more freeform fashion. Each patreon tier will get its own post for you all to submit your topics too. TOPIC ZONE isn't voting based like the patreon voted review. Instead, the submissions are selected based on a random lottery system and each tier gets its own number of slots. The Gentry get 3 topic slots, the Illuminati get 2, and the Homies get 1 for a grand total of 6 topics I will cover each ep :-) So go ahead and post your topic submission right into the comments of this post and I will record the ep and release it before the end of the month :-)

Do you think stick is the best input method for shmups? I know you can do well with any input method, but high level play seems way more dominated by arcade sticks than any other genre. It seems like there may be more advantages to stick in shmups than in fighting games for example.

If a game is only deep because randomness plays a huge part (like poker and Counter-Strike), is it flawed or vaild in terms of design/competitiveness?
