2021-12-06 21:10:31 +0000 UTCLeviticus 18:6 mentions near kin. Anything 2nd cousin and beyond is not your near kin. What number of cousin you are is based on your nearest grandparent. You share at least a grandparent with your first cousin. You share a great-grandparent with your second cousin etc. When the generations don't line up, then you get into once removed twice removed etc.
