Distrohopping
Added 2021-10-04 23:38:29 +0000 UTCI've been having some problems lately on Arco, where my keyboard disconnects for some reason. I thought maybe it was the board itself, but the same thing happens on two other boards. So, I've decided to distrohop for the first time in months.
The first stop later this evening will be Garuda. I chose that because it's Arch based and a lot of people seem to like it. If that doesn't pan out, I don't know where I'll head. Maybe Sparky or one of those Debian based distros. MX maybe.
I thought that Arco was my home for a long time, but this problem doesn't seem to have a fix and it's annoying AF. I have looked up for solutions online, but most seem to be just having xorg-input being reinstalled. I did that and still have the problem. IDK, something is odd.
I hope that it's Arco being the problem. If it's a USB hardware issue, then I guess my next stop will be figuring out how to fix that or get it replaced. I shudder to think of the cost in this current climate.
On that note, I 'built' a System76 computer the other day, just for fun, and man, they want like $4k for a top of the line graphics card right now. I know they can't help it, but fuck, that's a lot of money.

Remember I don't use vanilla Arch, so that's not exactly true. But you do have a point, I guess. I just love the AUR.

2021-10-05 04:33:35 +0000 UTCI'm aware. But it feels like cheating to use Fedora and not use Wayland. It's dumb, but whatever. Plus I'd miss the AUR. Though I am really enjoying OpenSuse.
