New Content
- Added Character Creation Menu: The player is now able to do the following when proceeding past the intro.
- Change Hair Style + Hair Color
- Change Eye Color
- Change Mouth Color
- Change Breast Size (If Female)
- Change Gender
- Rename The Player Character
- Male Player Implemented: This will not affect the story but it will affect certain scenes, similar to how it affected them in cappuccino.
- All Character Customizations Now Show up in Kaneko Bed Scene: Vine snare scene does not apply these changes since this scene is going to get replaced in an upcoming update.
- Implemented New Kaneko Scene: Scene starts immediately after Kaneko Bed Scene.
- Comes with handjob/fingering speed settings.
- Carries over player customizations. Primarily, skin tone and gender due to POV.
- Includes two secret spots that can be clicked. These spots will be used for a special currency later on but for now, they trigger special animations.
- This scene will later be included in Free Play mode.
- Temporarily uses BGM from the vine snare scene which will be replaced later with Kaneko’s theme.
- Held Items Now Show up in the Player’s Hand: Animations are still needed for things such as eating or using a tool but you can now visually see what you’re holding.
- Another Round of UI Improvements Have Been Done:
- Inventory Appearance Changed: Added the player sprite view for later when outfits will be swappable through this menu.
- Settings Menu Improved: The layout has been changed and now has more functions.
- UI Color Palette Can Now be Selected: Settings menu allows players to change the overall color theme of the UI.
Polish
- MASSIVE Save/Load Optimization: Save system has been modified to work by using a cache file to speed up saving and loading. The lag spike when entering buildings or completing a quest is gone and should hopefully remain that way. Along with this, saving now retains all player customization data and sound settings.
- Improved Player Sprite Overworld Animations
- Legs are now both the same size when walking up: Previously had a small length difference.
- Right Knee Geometry Improved: One of the knees was folding strangely when moving left or right.
- Sprite Now Blinks
- Polished a bit of the left/right walk cycle: Arms are a bit more in sync with the legs now but will be getting more polish as we continue.
- Improved Boob Jiggle on Aya: Jiggles a little more naturally now and works regardless of titty size. Also solved a peeking problem where part of the under sprite layer was showing up during some frames.
- Animations Added to a Hair: High PonyTail flaps when running.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Boundary Collider Gap: The top left of the map had a small hole behind a tree that would let the player walk off the map into nothingness.
- Fixed Volume Slider Bug: Volume slider would not go any higher than the starting value despite starting in the middle position. Now actually raises volumes if cranked up.
- Fixed Item Duplication Bug: Items were being duped when saving and loading if the player happened to consume them and then reload a save. 2 mushrooms became 4 and so on.
- Fixed Backend Database Bug: Removing an item, hairstyle or anything that is contained in a database was breaking saves due to a missing null check. Basically, the game was trying to load a no longer existing object whenever we changed the database up. (Adding or removing items from the game)
- Fixed Settings Opening/Closing Bug: UI was not intuitive when trying to exit the settings menu when in the game world. Reparented Inventory and Settings into a master Start Menu for future use.
- Fixed Intermittent Sleep UI Bug: Sleeping would sometimes lock the cursor and prevent the player from actually initiating the sleep process.
Other:
- Added Shady Corner Logo: We’re partnering with Shady Corner for some help with marketing so their logo is now in the start screen. They gave us a hand with some of Project Cappuccino’s marketing and there may be collabs with them in the future!
- Controller support has been put on hold until more of the game is completed: There’s too much work being redone just to support a controller when a simple mouse input keeps us moving forward.
Known Issues:
- Player’s Hair, Eyes and Lips sometimes do not show up in the inventory preview: Trying to track down this bug but it’s proven difficult. Not really game-breaking for the time being so it’s lower priority.
- Overworld Hair Animations Sometime Get Stuck: This will be solved when we go in and add animations to the rest of the remaining hairs.

Also, Doku's been working on the winner of the Christmas poll, which was also Kaneko. The fox girl is getting plenty of attention!
