The Tentakero Patreon Revamp is Here!

We’re moving forward with our page revamp and are here to talk about what’s changing for Patrons! In general, our page is being shifted to have a larger focus on Project Oni. (Working title.) Some changes such as banners and page description will be more gradual since we’ll be making those as we prepare more artwork for the game.

NEW TIERS

This is the exciting part! Since Project Oni is in an early state, some of these rewards will be retroactive. This means that you can pledge now and claim it later when the feature is implemented in-game.

$1 - Humble Farmer

• Access to Patron Newsfeed
• Access to Polls
• Access to Patron-only Discord Channels
• Tier matching Discord role

No more decaf! This tier is there for those that want to simply chip in a little towards keeping us in development.

$5 - Eager Adventurer

• Access to the latest Patron Game Build (Every 2-4 Months)
• Name in Credits
• All Rewards from lower Tiers

Set off on a new journey! This is the tier for those that want to access the game builds as soon as they're available.

The name in credits reward has been moved to this tier from the old Espresso and we'll be reaching out to you guys with a special form when it's time to submit a name!

$10 - Hellbound Pirate

• Copy of Project Oni on Launch (Cumulative)
• Add a message in-game! (REWARD PENDING - SYSTEM IN DEVELOPMENT)
• All Rewards from lower tiers.

Project Oni will be much larger in scale when compared to Project Cappuccino. As such, it's realistically going to have a price point higher than cappuccino's $14.99. However, the copy of the game reward is cumulative! This means that you can support for multiple months at a lower tier and still qualify for a copy on launch.

Along with this, supporters at this tier will be able to submit a custom message to display somewhere in-game. We may put this alongside the credits or in a special world location, but we'll let you guys know!

$20 - Ruthless Warlord

• Access to Cheats/Dev Tools (REWARD PENDING - SYSTEM IN DEVELOPMENT)
• Add a quest to the game! (One time reward.) (REWARD PENDING - SYSTEM IN DEVELOPMENT)
• All Rewards from lower tiers.

There is a small tool in the works that will allow players to edit things such as character stats and items. This tool will likely be made available as a small DLC package for those that pledge at this tier. As with other rewards, it will be rolled out once the game systems are more robust.

That's not all at this tier though! Supporters will have the option of adding a small custom quest to the game. Things such as tracking down a specific type of enemy or finding a hidden item somewhere in the world. Similar to the custom dialogue interaction that we had in Project Cappuccino!

$50 - Divine Monarch

• Your character in-game as an NPC! (One time reward.) (REWARD PENDING - SYSTEM IN DEVELOPMENT)
• All Rewards from lower tiers.

The general idea that we have for player submitted NPCs is to have them show up either randomly or at a specified location such as a tavern and speak with the player using custom dialogue. Possibly granting them items as well. These characters WILL NOT be combat based or romanceable, due to that having the potential to get out of hand with custom requests/animations/sounds etc.

The extent of customization details and what function your character will have in the game world are still being worked on! More information on this will be provided as soon as we have the system planned out and ready to implement.

Additionally, this reward is retroactive to anyone that pledged to the Golden Bean tier during the development of Project Cappuccino.

New Community Goals!

Along with the new tiers, we’ve also prepared new community goals to strive towards. These are lofty but exciting!

$2000 - Collaboration Time!

We’re going to create a zone in-game where we can implement crossovers with other developers.

Our world map has an empty region at sea where we would like to add mystery islands for players to visit, where they would be able to encounter characters from other games.

$4000 - Let’s create an opening theme!

We’ve been wanting to do this from the beginning, but reaching this goal means we can absolutely put some funds aside to pay for someone to compose and record a theme song for the game. Doku will then create an animated intro for the game. (Pretty much an anime opening.)

$6000 - Let’s Create a Physical Figure!

This is a lofty goal but something we’ve kind of wanted to do for a while. At this point, we’ll begin searching for a manufacturer/designer to create a figure of one of our characters. These figures will most likely be available via pre-orders, so stay tuned as we research details! This reward is a bit shaky so we'll try to think of a backup in the event that it falls through.
