Pledge Deadline and Tier Changes Incoming!
Added 2019-10-25 18:31:22 +0000 UTCThe deadline for obtaining a copy of Project Cappuccino through Patreon is upon us! At 10PM EST, we will roll out changes to the existing tiers. We’ll also be emailing patrons this weekend that will be receiving a copy of the game so that you can pick which storefront you’d like a key for.
The next game will have to go through a thorough planning phase before resembling anything playable, so these tiers should help carry us through that process. At least until we have a demo and a solid plan for where we’re taking our next project.
We’ll also be including a rough schedule of what we’ll be doing over the coming months, including when to expect the Lucretia update!
The Tier Changes
$1 - Decaf: Remains relatively the same, grants access to news-feed, polls and patron discord channels.
$5 - Iced Coffee: Access to new concept art and discussion threads about the next game’s plans and progress.
$10 - Espresso: Full resolution concept art as it becomes available.
$20 - Mocha: Early access to all of our content, primarily concept art during the planning phase.
$50 - Golden Beans - Remains the same, there for those that want to go above and beyond to keep the team afloat.
The $15 and $30 tier will be removed so that we can better consolidate our rewards. If you are currently at those tiers, you can choose to remain at that amount, but we totally understand if you want to edit your pledge to one of the new tiers!
Our Schedule for the Upcoming Months
October 25th - November 15th - Project Cappuccino’s Launch
From here until then, we’ll be handling marketing and the last bits of polish that are left to do. There has been intensive beta testing of the game and we’re doing our best to make sure that there are as few bugs as possible for launch.
November 16th - December 9th - Post Release Patch Work and Early Sales
Directly after launch, we’ll be focusing our attention on the free post release Lucretia update. We estimate this to take close to a month of solid work. We will also be keeping an eye on early sales and see if we’ll have a funding floor for the next title. Were entirely unsure as to what we can expect, but ultimately, the better Project Cappuccino performs, the more likely we are able to throw money at the next game. (And keep Tentakero running… And growing!)
December 10th - January 2nd - Mandatory Tentakero Break
We’ve been at this practically non stop since November 2017. Maybe even May 2017 if we count early prototyping. This has led to problems such as Doku’s hand injury and SEVERE burn out. If we were to fully dive into a new project in our current state, we’ll likely make critical mistakes that can be avoided with a bit of rest. So with that in mind, we’ll be taking some holiday time off and return to work after New Years.
January 3rd and Beyond
Here’s where the fun starts and we fully switch over to something new! With 100% of our time devoted to a new project, we should be able to provide you guys with awesome concept art and ideas until we have a playable prototype.
All of this is subject to change as we continue to adjust but for now, these are our plans. Thank you guys for the experience and for helping us finish our first game! Here’s to the second one!
