Project Cappuccino - Change Log v.1.21.0
Added 2019-09-01 12:40:30 +0000 UTCTime for September's build release! We're currently in the process of compiling/uploading and should have the new version available later today. Here's what to expect!
- New Story Content:
- Implemented Dialogue for Secret Route: Days 13, 14 and 15 have been implemented for the secret route. There are some CG's and special sprites on Doku's to do list for this route, but the story can be played through to the end in all routes now. Since it’s a secret, the only hints we’re giving is that this route requires being kind of a jerk and is activated early on in the story.
- Implemented 3 New CGs: One in Mira’s Route, One in the True Route, and one in the Secret Route.
- Soundtrack Improvements
- Berry Springs/Cerise’s Theme: Separated guitar track into two different mixer channels. Fixed a bass note that was being dropped upon exporting. Added small guitar piece in the beginning of the song. Balanced audio levels since this track was a bit louder than the rest.
- Room 1/First Encounter theme: Replaced synth plugin with a different one that better matches the rest of the game’s soundtrack. Improved mix.
- Lobby Theme: Major changes have been made since this track was done early in development. Boosted audio levels, changed some instruments and improved mix.
- Lobby Night Theme: Changed keyboard track and instrument. Improved mix.
- Removed Suspicious Theme: Some parts of the early story had a really bad song that has been removed. Parts that normally had this song play now have the second ominous theme that was already in game.
- File Select Theme: Amplified some instruments.
- Reduce Fade Transition time in first day when searching for Sophie: This part felt like it dragged on too long without contributing enough to the story.
- Replaced Cerise on Screen Effect: Can’t give details due to spoilers but in Day 15, Cerise would do something that caused an effect to appear on screen. This effect has been updated with a new animation that Doku was able to get done.
- MASSIVE Compression Work Done: There’s been a ton of image dimensions adjusted for better compression throughout the entire game. The Gallery alone had about 400MB of file size reduced without suffering in image quality. There may not be a massive change in the download file size because the free’d up file space was promptly filled with new gallery content. Along with this, the lobby scene has had it’s flowcharts split into about 5 different parts for faster loading times. (It was originally one giant chart for about 70% of the story.)
- Implemented Mood Toggle to Free Play Mode: Room 1 now has a function that allows you to choose if you’re going in with positive or negative standing with a character. Dialogue lines are different depending on this and it was previously a story only function.
- Gallery Expanded: Over 50 images added to the gallery across all characters. (Including variants)
- Balanced Cerise’s Art Prices: Some of her art prices have been adjusted to account for the fact that she has fewer encounters in the story.
- Balanced Multi Art Prices: Same here, but for all characters.
- Implemented Secret Gallery Tab: This tab can be unlocked by completing 7 of the 8 endings. The only ending that doesn’t count for the requirement is the secret one which is in the works. The secret gallery tab contains some Lucretia art work as well as early concept art and mini comics.
- Full Size Button Text Changed: Now says Maximize, Minimize instead of Fit to Screen and Full Screen.
- Implemented New Patron Dialogue Requests:
- Chance for a Colette dialogue to pop up during busy days where she is hit on by a customer.
- Chance for Cerise and Colette to talk about a fashionable customer on normal days in Chapter 4.
Bug Fixes
- Removed Pink Fading Overlay: There was an overlay that would appear when Mira was attempting to influence you early in game. Remnant of early development that wasn’t needed.
- Fixed Cerise Workday Bug: She would show up and be usable during the work day when she wasn’t supposed to be there.
- Fixed Mira sprite that wasn’t showing up properly on Night 5
NOTE: It has been found that save files are not backwards compatible. Opening a newer build of the game and then going back to an older version can cause your globaldata file to be corrupted. There may be a few versions where this was possible but it’s safe to assume that they usually won’t work going backwards.
