However, I could not get the story to work out. I was unhappy with it, no matter how many times I revised or rewrote it. I deleted the document and started over no less than 10 times. Easily over 15k words were deleted in total. But I just couldn't get it to a quality I was satisfied with.
It's gotten to the point where I'm driving myself insane trying to get it to work to my satisfaction. If this was physical writing, there would be a wastepaper basket full of crumpled up drafts.
Before this ends up destroying my passion for writing, I have decided to take a few weeks off from writing stories. As a reminder: During this time, YOU WILL NOT GET BILLED, as my Patreon only bills you if I published a story/work during the month. Regardless, if you feel you want to cancel your pledge anyways, you are free to do so.
When I come back, I will likely resume my traditional style of writing, rather than trying to experiment with the style that wrecked my sanity.
I appreciate your support so far, and hope you can understand that this break is needed for both my mental health, and to ensure that future stories are up to quality.
