We're thrilled to announce that Grimdark Future: Broken Truth, our first all-plastic 2-player box set, is now available to order on Gamefound! This massive box is the perfect starting point to get started playing Grimdark Future. Take command of the Saurian Starhost and the Robot Legions with 77 highly detailed pre-assembled plastic models across two large ready-to-play armies.

Of course as part of the campaign we'll be providing regular updates to keep backers and fans in the loop on goals, any social media that features Broken Truth, and provide a glimpse into some of the back end development of our first physical boxed set.

MiniWargaming are back with another battle report, this time going head to head with the contents of the Broken Truth box. This report is a great showcase to new players who might have never played OPR games before as it goes into more detail into deployment and the cadence of a game round.

At the top of post, you'll see some early previews of the what we are working on for September!

Using the 3.5 the Doom Cart is an optional war gear that gets added to the Dwarf Champion. It's main function is to add some casting prowess to the champion while also providing it some safety with additional toughness. It can be taken on it's own with any other upgrades for a bit of caster ability, but of course the model is paired with a Rune Lord whose already a decent caster, and paired with the Doom Cart puts it in a higher echelon of spell slinger.

The Goblin Reclaimers Commandos are the sneakier cousins of the shooter mobs, using the same profile and base gun, but with the addition of Scout and Strider. They can be given a few upgrades to make them more accurate. For shooting they'd get Good Shot, while Instinctive can also give them advantage to hit, but limits player choice in who they can attack for that bonus. With both of those though and some great positioning, they can really put the hit and hurt on an enemy unit. For weapon upgrades they can be given pistols and melee weapons for a combat focused unit, or shotguns which shorten their range, but give them twice as many shots.
Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models. The rules are previews from the 3.5 beta and are subject to change as well.
That's it for now, happy wargaming!
