November New Release

In December as the snow starts to fall, the trees will rise in aid of the Wood Elves. The Treeman Elders are weary warriors who've long been defending the Heartwood. The Elders use their knowledge of the forest to deftly bring the fight to the enemies of the woods, while the Elder Wraith uses the magic of the forest to awaken the canopy with spells. The Treemen channel their anger at trespassers into their combat, lashing out at the forests enemies with a flurry of attacks from their weapon like branches. The Treemen Brutes are larger and tougher versions of the Treemen with the strength to match, able to include rocks in their branches they can take care of heavy armor where other Treemen might have an issue. The Tree Giant is a mighty oak of destruction, it's roots able to whip enemies from afar, it's branch weapons massive and terrifying, and it's command of forest magic make it a tree there's no hiding behind... or from!

Also in December the Human Defense Force get some reinforcements. The Commander is up to date with all the tactical data from HQ, helping to position his troopers around the battle zone exactly where they need to be. The Veterans are experienced warriors who've survived the perils of active combat with wits and skill. Given access to the advanced weapon lockers they can outfit themselves to any and all battlefield roles. The OGRE Robots are a larger version of the GRUNTs. Their Increased size making for a stronger frame that can deploy heavier weapons at ranged but also be effective at up close maneuvers by carrying a large combat shield and dispersing crowds with heavy batons. The Attack Vehicle is a street level tank used for crowd control, it's arsenal of acid canons and flamers make it great for clearing out enemy encampments but it can also be upgraded to armor breeching weapons to take down fortifications or fortified enemy machines. The Support Vehicle is a modified Attack Vehicle retrofitted to provide artillery support. If it shoots hard and shoots far, this sturdy platform is how it gets into position to start it's bombardment and it's heavy armor makes removing it nigh impossible once entrenched.

December is also when the Dwarf Guilds break out one of their super efficient machines, the Mining Titan. Built to be dual purpose, this mech does it's name sake and makes quick work of drilling out ore. But that same drill and precision can also be used to hollow out enemy tanks and fortifications. When it comes to Mining and War, the Dwarf Guilds are always prepared for both.

For Age of Fantasy: Quest the Plague Daemon Druid is a master of mycology, using his connection with mushrooms and nature to power his magic abilities. Joined by a faithful frog companion he's never without a reagent for his poisons and elixers.

In November the Urban Terrain starts to crumble with the Ruins Terrain. This form of terrain features walls and alcoves that appear in both Intact and Ruined form, allowing players to represent the destruction that happens in fields of war.

For our 2D releases, you'll see the Vampiric Undead - Set #2 and the Alien Hives - Set #2, plus Paper Terrain sets for both of them. The 2D models are a great way to prepare armies for games quickly!

Project Roadmap

In January the creatures of the forest partner with the Wood Elves to protect their home. Forest Deer are the mount of choice for the Deer Riders and their Leader. These nimble mounts are swift and steady, leaping over brush and felled trees with ease to get their riders ready for the first strike. The Glade Guardians' arrows thread themselves between the trees and branches over long distances to dispatch their enemies. Quick on their feet, they can deftly maneuver over terrain so the enemy has a hard time closing the gap. Enemies of the Heartwood watch your feet as even the smallest creatures defend the forest. Beetle Swarms gather beneath the brush to overwhelm with numbers. The Giant Beetle, on the other end of the spectrum, is a large and terrifying insect that uses it's exoskeleton of horns, claws, and carapace to rampage through enemy units. Uniting all the defenders of the forest is the Army Standard, a rallying point to elf, tree, beast and bug alike.

The Human Defense Force start January off with another tactical leader. Intel is what can make or break a campaign of war, so gathering the best intel to pass onto the troops is the job of the Forward Observer. Selecting the right targets and relaying their location means more direct hits for other HDF personnel. The Snipers and Sniper Leader are mission oriented marksmen, tasked with the elimination of high priority targets they can shift the tides of battle with one well placed shot. The Field Artillery are quick deploy weapon encampments. Easy to set up, they provide necessary heavy firepower from an entrenched position. The HDF Heavy Tank is a show of force from the humans to would be antagonizers, decked out with massive dual heavy weapons and an array of additional armaments it's as deadly as its imposing size suggests.

In January the Vampiric Undead flesh crafters unleash their latest prototype the Butcher Titan. This massive mountain of muscle and flesh uses it's body as a weapon, lumbering across the battlefield swinging it's massive cleaver. Watching its gargantuan blade carving and hacking out great chunks of land will shred the nerves of even the most stalwart defenders.

Here is the roadmap for the next few months:

That's it for now, happy wargaming!

Love those OGREs

Ron Lugo

Right now we're focusing on providing modular options when it is needed, and combined models when possible to make printing an army as easy as possible. Thanks for the feedback, but that level of modularity isn't something we do at the moment.

onepagerules

Yes there will be a stand alone frog. We'll post it soon.

onepagerules

We releases on the 4th of each month. There are a few delayed models, but most have just been delivered earlier today.

onepagerules

Guess that was a “yes"

Robert Allen

Hey folks. Is the December release delayed?

Robert Allen

hi! will there by any chance be a version of the plague frog that's standalone / will the frog be a separate model? I would love to have one by itself if possible!

Jeremy Allan

Seems Im going to complete my wood elves army now. Sweet!

Ron Mananquil

Hi OPR team, is it possible to eventually get a full builder for the HDF, with separate arms, legs, torsos, heads and weapons for those of us who like posing and building our minis? I love the look of the HDF, but I would like to add more variety to my force. Thanks.

Maloquinn

This all looks great. Particularly excited for the Veterans. There is one very small nitpick. The orientation of the bullets on the belts should be opposite (facing away from the neck), this is to keep your neck getting rubbed raw or worse from jostling of the belts.

Emily Ulloa-Veach

Honestly I find the OPR models have become comical in look and proportions since the early highly detailed stunning releases. Having said that I am a huge fan of the original rogue trader era comics space orks and if they keep the comical stuff going until the do orc marauders they may actually look good. I love the aliens, sisters, dutchies, robot releases. They started going comics with Dwarf Guilds and I just can’t see me printing any newer stuff anymore. But I’ll still buy it all “because” lol. Having said that the HDF infantry look good, tanks suck.

Samantha Riley

I really like the Plague Daemon Druid and am looking forward to that AoFQ material, as I am still a relatively new member, but the Plague Daemons are one of my favorite of the fantasy races and one of two I'm really focusing on ... just have to get my 3D printer fixed/replaced now haha

Tony Stephens

I am loving the start on the OGRES! that said, they honestly dissapoint a good bit compared to the concepts, and the feet just seem awkward on them to say the least. I think a big issue I have looking at them is that the little front plate thing would restrict the actual movement of the joint by SO much that itd be impossible for them to properly use stairs or go up an incline without it being incredibly awkward. with how large they are, I think they need something like a 3 point triangle of a foot that is a LOT heavier at the very least, they have so little rear support it looks like theyll fall backwards! maybe instead of the weird scoop thing, maybe some kind of deployable spike that can bury into the ground and make it even harder to move them if theyre trying to act as a shield wall?

Jeremy Allan

Hell yeah, loving the OGRE robots

Daniel Jay

They dont need it

Daniel Jay

I think they would be OK if the turrets were angled to deflect shots away from the hull instead of directly into the top of it.

John Burroughs

New Loyalty Rewards will be a separate post. Something to look forward to :)

onepagerules

The Forward Observer has "Take Aim" which can give any unit within 12" +1 to hit, so keep him by your artillery and they'll be hitting everything.

onepagerules

I for one have to say that I like the design of HDF -infantry and vehicles- more and more. It took me a while to warm up to it, but now I'm 100 percent on board.

Astra

I agree that the tanks are not very good as well. The one thing about these guys, is that these models are what we are getting. They add a disclaimer that things are subject to change, but they never do.

MightyMarcos

Loving the new stuff. I thought there was also a new loyalty reward coming soon (Dec/Jan) but it's not on the map

Dean Thomas

Any word on when the Holiday starters will be shipped out?

Thomas Ryan

Why do HDF Veterans have less armor than Sappers?

David Eger

I joined for the HDF infantry, and I agree with the post above, the concept for the OGRE looks way better than the actual model. It would be nice if the veterans had some armor that matched everyone else instead of bare arms. The tanks are not good, I'll be using something else

David Eger

Amazing, those woodelf and the plagueDruid just hit me!! I live in constant hype about what Will come next... What will the next factions be? ❤️

eduardo gonzalez-iglesias

Love HDF aesthetics! Singular complaint about the mech tho. Why are ankle-feet armour plates the only ones that are not angular? They immediately stick out, in a bad way

Axel Fremen

the druid with the frog looks sick

Pihl

HDF just hasn't been doing it for me. The concept art for the OGRE had me hyped, but it didn't translate to the model. Looking forward to the forward observer though! I hope a rule gets added so they can help artillery units!

Alex Pfeifer

I want to take a moment to thank the OPR team for all the work they do. Thank you for this system of being able to get models for multiple systems by investing in a company that listens to its community. Y'all do wonderful sculpts, and y'all make a wonderful game system.
