Edge of the Radiance is an all new narrative campaign for Grimdark Future by One Page Rules launching this fall on MyMiniFactory's Frontiers. Two armies clash on a distant world with forces lead by four new Heroes and a full epic story to play through.

In October we see the first release of the Human Defense Force. The Infantry are the backbone of the armies of the Human Alliance, coming from all walks of life in the Sirius sector, laying down their lives to protect planets and colonies from threats.
Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models.

The 1985 cellphone just looks wrong to me. Would it be possible to change it for something more tablet-like? Or maybe make it an option?

2024-09-12 13:40:25 +0000 UTCUsually I find humans to be the boring faction but the armour looking inspired by Halo ODST hits me right in the nostalgia. The weapons look good too. These might be the first human models I find interesting enough to paint in a sci-fi setting. Looking forward to it.

2024-09-12 07:52:41 +0000 UTCI think the side tube on the flamer serves no purpose and will make painting the gun a bit more complicated. The cannister is already attached to the gun, so there should be no reason why to have that tube going on the side.

Not the biggest fan of the flamer though to me it feels like the fuel tank is weirdly placed maybe if it was turned in line with the gun it would work better

The current pose just looks a bit lazy with a pistol. I love the overall beefy look of the armor, well done!

2024-09-11 19:21:54 +0000 UTCI really like the looks of the HDF, especially the versions with the full face visors. I'm hoping we'll also get some with a bit heavier armour as well. The only misses for me are the radio operator, who I think would look a lot better with advanced comm gear built into his backpack and helmet, and the tube on the flamer, but that will be easy to remove.

Got an earpiece (it seems from the way they tap their ear) but are holding a honking big WW2-type walkie-talkie plus carrying a big suitcase radio. The earpiece works. The other two don’t, even in a grimdark setting. High tech commo is easier than the high tech weapons they’re carrying, which is why I always have a problem with that sort of thing.

2024-09-11 18:56:38 +0000 UTCI think their minions/ sidekicks should be dogs. Different breeds for different models. Ex: German Shepherd for the commander, bulldogs for veterans, St. Bernard for medic, etc.
