"Wow your CPU is running at 100%! Your computer is performing so well!" -said no one ever.

Turns out two years of non stop grind is my limit and I needed a break. I have a mountain of commissions I've been chiseling away at, patreon I give exclusive content to, and orders to fulfill for my shop during a time of crazy high shipping and slow asf arrival times. All of this while building out my studio space and traveling for work/life reasons. Don't get me wrong, I really love my supporters and making art that brings people delight gives my soul meaning, but it turns out I have human limits, after all... In the last three ish months I've really begun to evaluate what's reasonable for me to take on and learned very quickly how to close proverbial tasks and programs to make room for quality work and a good night's sleep. My job is unique in that no one else can really help me, because the bulk of it relies solely on my own hand and brain to create things. That said, redlining my engine to its max didn't mean it was "performing", it meant is was straining. I wanted to share my experience for any of you out there who might *also* be redlining and thinking you're making progress, when in fact, you may be closer to blowing your engine 😆
...
My gratitude is immeasurable to all of you who have been patient and continue to encourage me. I promise to give you my best, even if I have to recharge sometimes! 🙏☺️💗
