Big changes- For real now. Freytreon 3.0

Hi all!

About a week ago I made a big post to give you an overview of the changes that would be coming to Freytreon in 2023. I've since deleted that post, because I wasn't entirely happy with it.

The thing is, my enjoyment while drawing has been dwindling a bit. Getting a break in December was very much needed, and I realized I couldn't continue like this. I spent the entire month thinking about how to change Freytreon to decrease my workload and make drawing more fun again, while keeping things fair for the people who have chosen to support me.

But it wasn't there quite yet. Only when I spent the final few days of December working on art of my OCs (Reiko redesign, Frey new year piece) did I realize that THIS is what I love most. Nothing sparks my enthusiasm and imagination quite as much as my own original content. And I want to do so much more of it.
So two days ago, I asked you a question... And I'm very happy with your answer.

This honestly made me tear up. I've been forcing myself to do the things *I* thought were expected of me, and of artist Patreon pages in general, without realizing that the vast majority of you cares way more about the stuff that I also enjoy most.

With that in mind, I've adjusted the changes for Freytreon in 2023. Here they are.

The Fanart Poll will no longer be a monthly thing. In its place, I'll be doing OC content every single month
This is why I asked about your preference 😉. The fanart poll will shift into the alternating spot (one month OC request box, the other month fanart poll), and the monthly spot will now be art with my OCs. However, it will no longer necessarily be a poll. It will just be guaranteed original content & characters by me every month. That said, maybe I'll have too many ideas, and can't decide- In that case I will still make an OC poll for you to vote on! It will no longer be based on Adventurer patron suggestions though. But you can still submit characters for the fanart poll!

Adventurer patrons get access to the OC Request Box, which replaces the Patrons' OC Poll, once every 2 months (instead of once every 3)
To make up for losing the ability to submit suggestions for the OC poll, I'll be introducing the OC request box. Every 2 months you can send in your characters, and I'll choose one or more requests to tackle. These won't all be fully finished pieces, some might end up being practice or flat color sketches. Point being, you get more opportunities to send me requests! Further details will be given once the first post for these goes up.

The Legend tier is gone, so regular commissions can return
This one has been on my mind for a while. Ever since I started doing two Legend rewards (full commissions) every month, I've been way too busy for regular commissions. The last time I opened normal commissions was JULY! That's half a year ago!
The current Legend patrons have already been notified, and will be receiving a one-time guaranteed commission slot to make up for the removal of the tier.
With normal commissions returning, it is my aim to have at least 2 or 3 commission slots every month or every 2 months. One of these slots will always be for patrons only.

Smaller updates

• Hero tier YCH rewards are now flat color instead of full color. This has already been discussed with the relevant patrons, but has now been changed on the tier's description as well.
• There's a new YCH gallery for Hero patrons. I'll try and update this one more regularly! https://freytreon-ych.carrd.co
• The 10% commission discount now also applies to the Recruit tier.
• I will be doing less NSFW content (which was already not a lot before) outside of rewards, requests & commissions.
• Fanart poll suggestions and OC requests will be using an easy to fill in form, so I'll always have the data available. No need to comment a specific format on posts anymore.
