Hey everyone.
I just got back from GenCon and found this at home waiting for me. It's such a small thing, but really feels good getting to hold something that says how far my little "Maybe I should post some videos" experiment has become. That first year I'd see other channels that had 2,000 Subscribers and I'd think how I'd never ever get to be that huge. Both 'Nerdarchy' and 'How to Be a Great GM' were in the 40,000s and that was bigger than I could imagine (clearly they've both grown a lot since then, and I'm eternally grateful to both of them for putting a spotlight on me when I was still starting out).
It took me 9 months to reach 1,000 Subscribers. I very nearly quit. It was a lot of work and up until then I'd amassed only 600. Then a sudden bump pushed me over the 1,000 mark in the last few weeks before I planned to throw in the towel.
The idea that 100,000 people would even care to listen to what I had to say, let alone hit that little button saying they'd like to see more of it, was nothing I ever thought possible. I grew up in a town with 85,000 people, so I tried imagining that many people subscribing and just couldn't do it (I still have trouble doing it).
So thank you so very much for all of your support. It really means the world to me.
Tomorrow I plan to post some pictures and update from GenCon, but for tonight I'm going to enjoy being back home.
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
