A Long-Needed Upgrade
Added 2021-12-21 22:00:32 +0000 UTCHey everyone. After a lot of time and cursing, my new teleprompter is here and (mostly) ready to go. Not just the teleprompter, but the tablet and the tripod to hold them up.
I'm still waiting on my remote to arrive so I can start, pause, and adjust the scrolling speed. It should arrive this week, but with holiday mail, your guess is as good as mine. Test footage so far has been a little grainy, so I'll have to figure out what's up with that.
Between the new tripod's shortest height being taller than my old one, plus the added height of the teleprompter rig itself, I wont be able to set it on the table as I normally did. No big deal, I'll simply have to slide the table over. I've gotten used to that with doing Jack scenes, as I always have to scoot the table back from the green screen. The weird part will be getting used to nothing in front of me.
Hopefully by the next video I'll have all the last issues worked out and can use it.

2021-12-27 19:54:37 +0000 UTCThe fake half-table prop isn't expensive. The real cost is the additional room required to house and store all that stuff. Once I've hit the point I can build a dedicated studio addition to my house, I'm going to get the sweetest fake half-table you've ever seen.

Because if it does I'm going to have to do the internet a solid and come destroy your new toys and replace them with an iPhone 4 and a speak and spell.
