2025-08-21 23:44:40 +0000 UTCOh? So it seems that Mira has some previous history with the Lukaras. Interesting, I wonder if said history has anything to do with Luna and Lynus’ words about Mira having another living relative aside from her parents that they were hesitant to give her over to due to the ways of her and her people apparently not being a good environment for a child to be raised in, back in Book Zero. Or perhaps, maybe Mira herself or at least her family used to be Lukaras themselves before something happened to cause them to split from them. I guess we won’t know until we can get to their domain, Mira’s most certainly not in the mood to divulge any further than she already has at the moment. Alex here is very clearly betting on familiarity with himself to help convince the mayor to allow the team to contact the Lukaras, but something tells me that might not be enough to persuade them. Just because Alex is someone the village already knows doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t still be weary about providing assistance to his new comrades that they’ve just seen for the first time. There’s clearly a reason for why this village, and by extension the Lukaras, have kept themselves isolated from the rest of the world for the most part and as such they more than likely have little reason to take a risk helping a bunch strangers that just walked into their front door that may or may not have ill intentions that could jeopardize their home or their relationship with the Lukaras. (We know they don’t have such intentions, but still.) Also, with how much Alex has been dodging the questions of “How do you know this?” or “What your relation to this person?”, it makes me wonder when he’s gonna have to drop the facade of being some random stranger that travels to a lot of places and just so happens to know a lot more than you expect and reveal who he really is, because eventually someone in the team is just gonna get impatient and grow tired of Alex’s vague answers and demand the actual truth from him. Obviously, Alex has plenty of reason to hide his identity at this point, especially with his fellow deity friends gone, but still, he’s gonna have to reveal his true self to the team at some point, one way or another. On the topic of whether or not Alex’s comment of “being around” is meant to be at least partially in reference to him probably taking a Lukara woman and/or a woman or more from this village to his bed for a night of intimacy, I answer to you, what do you think? Don’t you guys remember Sledar commenting on Alex’s “girls banged per day” record back in Book Zero? Of course there’s a high chance he’s slept with a Lukara in at least one point in his long life, which I imagine was an… interesting experience considering the whole skull and eyeball for a head thing and all that. I wonder if that particular fact about Alex will get brought up later. It would make a pretty funny running gag if in every village the team winds up in, there’s at least one woman or another person related to a woman that Alex previously had a sexual encounter with that they wind up running into that brings up his “colorful” relationship with women, then you just see the different reactions of the team towards him, that vary from curiosity, confusion, astonishment, bewilderment and/or anger depending on the person reacting and the appearance and species of the woman in question. Maybe Nigel could eventually try to get pointers from Alex on how to pick up chicks, which probably would have limited success considering… it’s Nigel we’re talking about. Just a thought.
