Popsβ lowkey disdain for Biggie is hilarious ππ€£ (he might be moving into Diddy/John Legend territory soon lmao) But yβall were talking about Cudi having ushered in an era of Emo rap, which he did for a new generation (Iβm sure Kanye would disagree with 808s as proof π I was actually at the Pablo Tour concert where he went on that Cudi rant about how βwe started all that Emo shitβ lolβ¦but we all know Cudi & T-Pain heavily influenced 808s so π€·πΏββοΈ) But if you think about it, Biggie was one of the first (Ghetto Boys/Scarface, etc) to kind of be a direct cross of Emo x Gangster. I mean you canβt listen to Suicidal Thoughts & some of the songs/lines off his albums and not hear it, right? In a way its the Emo(tions) that seem to fuel the gangster lifestyle/persona and vice versa. But yea. Just food for thought. These are the types of things I think about while I watch yβallβs content, which is why I appreciate yβall! Love. Keep killin it.
