OK YES. I’m so happy you said something about this. I see the Reading Corner comments EVERYWHERE and it has always given me bad vibes. I saw that one creator actually asked them to stop commenting on her videos because she wasn’t going to read the book and they replied “sorry I comment on so many accounts I forget which ones ive commented on”. SO WEIRD and creepy. I think there is a lot of underground fetishizing of ASMR that we don’t know about and it’s very unnerving. At first I thought it was the author trying to give the book exposure but after the things you said- nah. Somethings up.
