8/31 Author Check-in
Added 2024-09-01 03:21:30 +0000 UTCWell, it feels like it's been a while since I did one of these. I'm sorry guys, shit's been hectic.
Anyway, chapter 5 is in the editing process. It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would to get it into twine, but editing will be a bear as the word count is something like +20k and I have had the attention span of a gold fish lately.
I've also posted this on tumblr, but I'll put it here too: Chapter 5 will probably have to come with a rating change and some content warnings. This is mostly out of an over abundance of caution rather than the chapter being truly explicit. The Kestrel makes some pretty heavy-handed innuendos and again,it's all pretty pg-13, but caution and the abundance thereof.
Moving on to this week's short, I honestly didn't plan to write one because of the aforementioned editing, but I did get an idea and I figured I owed you guys something. It's going to be another Carter short---because that's just what my brain defaults to apparently---and it is going to be a little spoilery with regards to some of Carter's background. These are probably things that will eventually come out in the story proper as minor reveals, so it's nothing huge and plot relevant. Still, a spoiler warning is in effect.
I'll try to get the short posted Sunday evening at some point.
