We went back to 2018 and on this episode of the Stuttering John Podcast John is drinking! Yaaayyy!! Jenny Jingles and Producer Chris join the show to learn that John is a chef and a foodie. We also find out the title John came up with for his book; more proof he's an unfunny retard. And there's much more as John calls out Artie for not quitting his drug addictions, complains that he's not on the ballot for senator of California, celebrates the new TV show that's being developed for him, and much more.
We also check out some tracks from John's 2008 classic album Sugartits and the Deciders. it might be the worst album ever made but I could be wrong. Watch the episode here: https://youtube.com/live/wm8YXKc0Lhw

These "Living In The Past" shows are so great. They help fill the void left when you finished reviewing his book. Keep em coming!

John is baking chicken at 400º for 28 minutes? Goddamn that shit must be dry. Yuck. I can get it to 165 exactly at 375 for ~22-23 minutes.
Also, I was sort of proud of myself for baking chicken when I was 24. I couldn't imagine bragging about doing that at 53 lol

2018 Drunk John sounded like a human instead of a talking blob fish. It’s shocking to listen to

I remember in his book SJ claimed his former agent was the "quintessential bully", SJ really is the quintessential "has been who never really was", a figure on the margins who stumbled into success, was unable to really capitalize on it, and has been desperately trying to live off their past for years.
I had a friend who used to work at a restaurant that was co-owned by one of these, a bit more successful than SJ, some guy who'd been a member of one of those lesser one-hit-wonder 80s rock bands, I can't remember the name but it was one of the sort that might occasionally get their "hit" on one of those "hey remember the 80s!?" compilation albums they used to advertise on TV for at 1 in the morning. He was, according to her, a pompous asshole and obvious cokehead given to displays of bad temper, who lived off of recounting boring stories of his glory days interacting with supposed movers and shakers in the record industry he had known, who demanded deference and respect be paid to him because he was such a success, and behaved like he was still in his prime, decades and several pounds ago, still a sort of big deal touring with throngs of willing young groupies queuing up outside his dressing room door.

The 5 minute period of covering Gash Man could be one of the funniest 5 minute timeframes this century.
Those lyrics are disgustingly unfunny.

I'm finally getting stuttering John fatigue. I'm fine with the new stuff on the normal episodes, but I think these bonuses should be on other things. Old SJ just isn't interesting anymore. Also we need more Tommy T!

As it turned out there were two senate elections in 2022 since Kamala resigned to become VP in 2021.

StutJo was correct about the Senate run. Each state has two senators and they are elected two out of every three congressional elections. So there was a 2018 senate election in California, none in 2020, and one in 2022.
