Fuck yes, Leslie West was an awesome Stern show guest back in the day. Guitar god, mad respect from other REAL musicians. (read: NOT Stutjo) Of course, in his mind, real success comes from Top 40 ranking. Ummm, Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, etc. Ryan Seacrest not playing 'em, so I guess they suck.... Main reason Stutjo hated Leslie was that he constantly mocked him in this hilarious Porky Pig voice. John would barely get a word out before Leslie jumped in with a cartoon stammer. Howard loved it, shut John up every time. Awesome!

2024-10-06 05:13:14 +0000 UTCIt is fitting that this Jocktober entry turns out to be as milquetoast as a lot of the original O&A's Jocktober featured shows - how many of those radio shows were just like this, inane banter, bland takes on the news and gossip. And Karl and Company are right, there is zero quality control in modern radio, not only are most radio still doing the same sort of hacky material and bits they've been doing for decades, they're doing it even worse than before. Not even the barest facade professionalism.

P.s Kaya does a show called criminally stupid with Jackson Clarke from the official podcast and it has a similar vibe to the creep off.
