I used to not care about the anti-Steel Toe opinions simply because at the time he came off like just another not very notable ex-radio guy trying to do a show, there's dozens of them out there doing YouTube shows and podcasts, and he didn't seem very distinguishable from the rest. The people demanding WATP let Steel Toe have it back them seemed ridiculous. Now all of the drug den and swinger stories leaked via Imholte, and he's having a drawn-out meltdown on camera over the course of weeks, but hey, more people are talking about him so mark it down as another win for the Toe!

If these guys stop covering him even the insulting superchats he makes his living on will dry up - because the superchatters want their superchats to be mentioned on better shows than John's. There are other more fun lolcows and bad podcasters to cover. Let's leave John to his coors light doom.

2024-09-21 01:03:24 +0000 UTCThank you, Karl, for doing what needed to be done: Forcing SJ into retirement as the lolcow of the DV. He's a tired and boring old man that's putting us all to sleep. Retooling the lolcow focus from SJ to Aaron is the most welcome improvement to the DV we've had in ages! Separately, whether intentional or not, NOT focusing on SJ will freak him the F out, so this is a pretty slick way to tempt him into doing something extra-stupid again just to get views. He lives such a wild existence. He's unemployable by any measure, he's too poor to retire, and he can ONLY exist financially from $2 insults. That's such a crazy outcome when you objectively consider his status and trajectory in the Leno days.
